The Marathon Des Sables for as long as I’ve known about it, is everything I fear and dread. 250km in 35-40 degree searing heat, sand dunes, precarious jebels, being entirely self sufficient for six gruelling days and being so far away from my children and husband. With all of these things combined I'm filled with pure trepidation!
But herewith lies the hook - at the start of 2019 I made a promise to myself that I'd face my fears and hopefully set an example as part of my talks... another fear I have is public speaking so the two go hand in hand!
In April 2020 I will take on the six day challenge in the Sahara Desert and I'm proud to be part of the team representing Hope for Children. I'm inspired by the work of Hope For Children and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Marathon Des Sables 2020. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Hope For Children, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
