I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Hope For Children and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Marathon des Sables.
The MdS is a multi-day ‘ultra-marathon’ ran in six days over a course of between 150 and 156 miles (254km) across the Sahara Desert. Which, by the way of comparison, is the equivalent of Running from London to Dover deciding not to go to France after all and running back again in 120 degree heat. Understandably, It is dubbed ‘the toughest race on earth”.
Hope for Children enables vulnerable children to experience a happy childhood by improving their access to education and healthcare, and empowering families to support themselves.
Almost half of the world’s children are vulnerable and living in poverty. Hope for Children are changing this by making a safe and fulfilling childhood a reality for more of the world’s children, they are improving access to education and healthcare, empowering their families to support themselves whilst developing their confidence and self-esteem but most importantly they are giving them hope.
In the last 4 years, Hope for Children have helped 161,000 children and adults realise their right to education, healthcare and a stable family environment. This impact has been felt all over the world in Ghana, India, The Philippines, Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and the UK.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Hope For Children, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends, family and colleagues.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, let’s make a difference!
